Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines permitted and prohibited uses of Scorefold. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund.

1. Permitted use

With an active subscription, you may use the Service for lawful personal research or internal business research within your plan limits. You may view aggregate scores, summaries, snippets, and source links for subjects you search. You may share links to our public pages where the Service makes them available.

2. Account security

Keep your credentials confidential. Do not share account access with unauthorized users. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.

3. Prohibited use

You may not: • Use the Service without a valid subscription or exceed plan limits through circumvention. • Scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or systematically export our data, scores, summaries, or API responses. • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw Service output as a data product or API. • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our scoring methodology or source code. • Bypass rate limits, authentication, or technical access controls. • Use automated bots or scripts except as we explicitly permit. • Misrepresent our aggregate scores as official ratings or brand endorsements. • Use results to harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against individuals or businesses. • Submit unlawful queries or use the Service to facilitate illegal activity. • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks. • Introduce malware or harmful code.

4. Third-party rights

Respect the terms and robots policies of third-party sources we link to. Do not use our Service to circumvent paywalls, access controls, or copyright restrictions on external sites. Brand and product names belong to their owners; our display is for identification only.

5. Fair usage

Even within plan limits, excessive or abnormal usage that degrades Service performance for others may be throttled or blocked. We may adjust limits to protect infrastructure and fair access.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, suspend or terminate accounts, block IP addresses, and remove access without prior notice where necessary. Termination for AUP violations does not entitle you to a refund. We may report illegal activity to authorities.

7. Reporting abuse

To report abuse of the Service, contact support@scorefold.app.

8. Changes

We may update this AUP. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version is at https://scorefold.app/acceptable-use/.
