Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of Scorefold ("Service"), operated from Israel. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Scorefold is a B2C rating aggregation platform. We collect publicly available review scores and related information from third-party websites, compute our own aggregate score, and present source links, short excerpts ("snippets"), and an AI-generated overview ("summary"). The aggregate score and summary are produced by us — they are not official ratings, endorsements, or statements by any brand, product, place, or third-party source.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Registration is free; access to rating checks requires an active paid subscription. We do not offer free trials, demo checks, or complimentary fresh queries.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Paid access is sold as a monthly subscription, billed in advance through a third-party payment processor (TBD when payments go live; checkout is not live yet). Prices, included fresh-check limits, and plan features are shown at checkout and may change for future billing periods; we will notify you where required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method on each renewal date. Unused fresh checks expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. Cached results you have already generated remain available according to our product policy. Refunds are not offered except where mandatory law requires otherwise — see our Refund & Billing Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful personal or internal business research within your subscription limits. You may not scrape, bulk-export, or resell our data or API output; circumvent access controls or paywalls; use automated tools to overload the Service; misrepresent our scores as official brand ratings; or use results to harass, defame, or harm third parties. Full rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
5. Third-party content & sources
The Service links to and references third-party websites and services. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those sources unless we explicitly state otherwise. Snippets are short excerpts for identification; summaries are separate AI syntheses and may not reflect the full content of any source. You should verify information on the original source before making decisions.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including our aggregate scoring methodology, software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. Third-party names, logos, and content remain the property of their respective owners. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during an active subscription. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
7. AI-generated content
Summaries and other AI-generated text are provided for general information only. They may contain errors or omissions. They are not professional, legal, financial, medical, or purchase advice. Do not rely on AI output without independent verification.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. We do not guarantee that third-party data is current, correct, or complete. See our Disclaimer for additional limitations.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD 100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.
11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or if required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account (or the payment processor portal once connected); access continues until the end of the paid period. Upon termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) remain in effect.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring claims in your local courts. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be notified where required by law. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
